The reason why I haven't written a review in the last few days is because I was at this lovely hotel with my girlfriend! We went away for our 3 year anniversary (since we started dating) as children our families always went to the west country, so we thought we would head down to an area we knew well. We paid for this hotel through tesco clubcard vouchers, it cost us £152 for 2 nights including breakfast, which is rather expensive I believe. Location: The hotel is in the beautiful village of abridge, its in beautiful surroundings in brilliant countryside. At the time of booking we had asked if there were twin rooms on the ground floor so Mum wouldn't have to negotiate stairs and was told there were. We duly booked 2 twin rooms. What a disappointment. I shared with my 82 year old Mum in a tiny room with 2 two foot six beds squashed together. No space to walk around. No seat in front of a small mirror - couldn't open the drawers (not enough room). Bathroom was as big as the bedroom but what's the good of that!!! We didn't sleep. My sister and her daughter's room was twice the size. Wanted . Read the complete review

I stayed in this hotel when I went down to Cheddar Gorge to do a days worth of training. I travel all over the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man providing IT support training on Microsoft Office Packages so often spend a couple of nights a week in hotels. I explained about the Best Western brand in my previous review about the Ullesthorpe Court Hotel and Golf Course in Leicestershire but will quickly recap on this for you. This is one of the worlds largets hotel chains boasting over 4200 hotels in 80 different countries. The majority of the hotels are individually owned and use the Best Western brand as a branding tool to attract more people to ... Read the complete review
