I booked this hotel when i was going to a conference in the nia. It was the cheapest hotel for the centre at only £60 a night.

To begin with ive never found it so difficult to find a hotel in all my life, birmingham is all one way, so dont rely on the directions they give you, make sure you have a really good sat nav, as we went round and round, it was ridicoulous.

You have to park in a council carpark, but its only about a 5minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is situated on a main shopping street, and the hotel is accessed via a small door. The reception was not very pleasing i must say, it was very small, and the carpet and decor need serious updating.

When we finally to got to our room i was horrified by what i found. The door had a hole in it, the wall paper was hanging off the walls, there were stains everywhere. I was very thankful i was only staying there one night, because it was horrible.

We had friends staying there too, and were amazed when we went to see there room as it was alot better. It seems the hotel has been modernised on one part, but some parts are still old, yes thats where we were.

I can only comment on the room we were in, and that was horrendous, the windows were rotten and though i liked the view down on the street it was really noisy.

The only plus side about this hotel was where it was situated. We were right in the heart of birmingham, and it was great, i loved the shopping and location was spot on for everything.

Overall i cant recommend the hotel itself, but location wise excellent.
