Advantages: Take dogs!

Disadvantages: Has lots of steps!

The Brookdale Hotel, Truro was able to accommodate our needs and is a privately hotel which is set in its own grounds off the A39 road. The Brookdale, we found from personal experience is a warm, inviting and friendliness, plus has the added attraction of restaurant and meeting facilities. Due to major traffic hold-ups in Birmingham, Shane and I arrived very late, like four late, but that was not a problem. We phoned the hotel, explained the problem and they kept our room waiting for when we finally arrived!

Truro is well situated for touring Cornwall with a host of beautiful places and attractions. We were actually looking at homes in Mid-Cornwall, so hotel was ideally placed for our requirements. The City, which is only a few minutes walk from the hotel itself, and boasts a fine, yet modern Cathedral plus a very compact shopping centre. The arts are well catered for with an interesting museum, antique shops, and an excellent entertainment venue in the 'Hall for Cornwall' and some enchanting art galleries. The City also hosts various festivals and events during the year. There are many gardens, golf courses, beaches and places to get away from it all within a short distance, not bad for the dog either.
There is a large car park with some covered spaces, at The Brookdale Hotel.

Why not enjoy either something simple like a plate of pasta with a fresh sauce or something more exotic with a bottle or two vinos from our extensive wine list.

My only real complaint with the hotel is that it is not wheelchair friendly. It is built on a hillside, but there are many steps to climb. I am glad I brought my sticks, as I would not have been able to use my chair within the building at all.

I love Truro but have only visited it and never stayed there. It is so central to the rest of Cornwall isn't it?

You've made me so hungry now ;{}

great op,Sounds very nice, I have only never stayed in hotels aboard. I will try and get my fella to swisk me off here, but I don't fancy my chances lol - extra £4 for full English, you'd have thought that they'd give you one anyway at that price - thanks Emma
