Advantages: Fantastic value for money Bed and Breakfast.
Bryn Aethwy Guest House. (Anglesey) Wales.
Having decided to go to Anglesey in Wales, myself and my friend turned up at the local tourist board which we found very helpful indeed, they asked you your budget for the evening then went on to find you suitable accomadation.
It costs £70.00 for one night here and I must say that it is worth every penny.
The accomadation is more like a mini mansion, and sits proudly up a hill overlooking the menai bridge and the views are absolutely stunning. There is ample parking outside the main front door of the property which is very grand and regal.
The couple running this place are indeed very friendly and helpful and come out to great you upon your arrival. We were lead into a sitting room and shown the dining room where we were asked what time we would care for our full english breakfast. The sitting room having a large firplace facing you and offering comfortable sofas and chairs to sit whilst relaxing.
We were lead up a large flight of stairs and admired various pictures etc on the walls and were amazed at the absolutely georgous stain glass window in the room facing the stairways.
Our room was spacious and had a large four postal bed. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and had clean towels laid out for you, also on the sink was little bottles of shampoo and conditioner which were absolutely first class.
The room hosts an array of tea bags and coffee, sugar and complimentary bars of chocolate kitkats, clean cups and a kettle and the views from the bedroom windows were absolutely stunning, there were two lovely comfortable chairs by the window side, so you could sit and take in the outstanding views.
The owner came and knocked and gave you a menu which he asked you to complete to let them know just what you required for your following days breakfast.
I chose a full english which was included in the price.
The lady owner was so very helpful, letting us know what the local attractions were and the little coffee shops quaint shops that adorn this island were absolutely georgous.
Their is a castle to view and we did have to pay £7.00 entry fel but was well worth the visit. The beach and sea were excellent and it was a lovely hot weekend.
The following morning we were shown to the dinning room, and a little puglier dog, who I nick - named wiggle bum because she kept wiggling her bottom. If you love dogs than this one is a real sweetie.
Their was place mats set out and an assortment of cereals to choose from. Their were hot teapots or coffee pots on the table and toast was served hot with a choice of jams and a lovely touch of honey in a pot too.
When the breakfast arrived it was a lovely sasage cumberland, bacon which was of good quality, mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs, cooked how you had requested them.
The service was great, the owners were very friendly, and they had the added knowledge of knowing the whereabouts of all the places to visit on this great island which if you are visiting wales for the first time is an absolute must.
We stayed for two nights and when we went out they had come into our room to make the bed and tidy up, leaving new chocolate bars out and refilling the tea bags etc in our room. On arriving back in the evening their were little lights, solar lights alight in our bedroom windows which I thought were a great little extra touch. The food was hot and fresh and the choice was good too. The owners really put themselves out to make you feel welcome and I would strongly recommend this place to stay for a really great weekend break.
The house is very grand and there are loads of great features to look at in this place. I really enjoyed the friendly service offered at this bed and breakfast, which I will visit again.
Anglesea offers a great place to visit and the bed and breakfast offers great views.
I loved the oldy wordy room I stayed in and the Four Poster Bed made for a room with a difference. Trulty a great place to visit and stay well worth every penny. The bedding was clean ironed and fresh and the room was of high quality decor.
Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this place as a first class place to visit and stay.
