This we later found out was a great place to sit, as the big double doors led straight to the bar area. On a recent visit to York, we chose to stay at Burn Hall, rather than right in the city centre. The hotel is situated 10 miles North of York, just off the A19 York/Thirst road. With the sat nav set, we found the hotel really easily because once off the main road and on the minor road signposted Huby, Burn Hall is situated half a mile along this road on the left. Although we hadn'trealised it was this easy to find, it did make it easier to get onto the main road and on our way the next day. For anyone not travelling by car,the nearest station is York.
