I recently stayed at this hotel for one night as I had an early morning flight from Gatwick the next day. My husband booked it through lastminute.com just under a year previous to our stay. It cost £79.00 for an August stay. We travelled to Gatwick airport by train and picked up a taxi from there to the hotel which cost £12. It was approximately a 10 minute drive. I was quite surprised at the appearance of it when we arrived. Not knowing anything about Copthorne hotels I was expecting a Premier Inn type place. Don't whatever you do give them a credit card when you register. (Ideally don't even stay there.) They'll not only invent charges but you get no come back either. I wrote to the manager and got no reply. I wrote to the Area Manager and he was rude to me. I wrote to the CEO of the company and he ignored me. And this was the first night of my Honeymoon! I would rather sleep in Gatwick Airport than stay at this poorly run rip-off of a hotel. And while all of the rooms are on the ground floor, it means that most people will have a long walk to get from their room to anywhere else in the hotel. ... Read the complete review

I stayed in this hotel last week for two nights as part of a residential training program. The hotel is a short Taxi ride from Gatwick airport (costs about £7.50) and they also have their own shuttle bus but that comes around every hour (although it only costs £2). The hotel itself is built around a 16th century farm house (hence the title). Obviously they have built around and extended this farm house. There are conference rooms as well as a restaurant and a bar.
