Best Hotel in central Manchester but... (Crowne Plaza Manchester)
Member Name: mamahuhu
Advantages: Location, Best of a bad lot in Manchester, Pretty good rooms Disadvantages: Expensive for leisure traveller, Wouldn't trust chambermaids to stack shelves in Tesco, Cafe can be a black hole for service
There's a lack of polish to the service in the room. My balcony had a take away Pizza box and chip box festering on it. You might get a biscuit to go with your coffee tray (but it might be powdered!). Other colleages didn't get coffee at all. Worst of all, one colleague had a complete stranger wander into her room at 3am, having been given a room card by reception who hadn't checked to make sure the room was free. A similar problem occured when we checked our reservations in advance to be told no-one had heard of them, when we gave our confirmation numbers, however, they miraculously found them. The staff in the cafe are variously very attentive to downright rude. Summary: |
