As we walked up towards the door there was a red carpet laid out, and the doorman rushed over to us in his kilt, and asked if we would like a hand with our luggage. He then welcomed us to the house, and we walked up the stairs into the reception. Talk about authentic. It felt so luxurious, but also genuinely old and scottish, ... more ... there was no artificial lighting and everything was lit by candles, which made it feel so romantic. The stone floor, the dark wood and the scatterings of tartan gave you the wow factor.

Cameron House - Loch Lomond. Last week was mine and my husbands first wedding anniversary. I knew that hubby had a surprise planned, but didnt know what it was! I was told to pack my suitcase on the Friday night, and was instructed what things I needed to pack, and then the alarm was set for 4.30am on the Saturday! I woke up with excitement when the alarm went off, and woke myself up with a shower before getting dressed! and excitedly setting off.
