Newest Review: ... booked a ferry/site combined package. When we booked we checked they had hardstanding available and they said yes. On arrival it transpired that the only hardstanding was a sort of single parking place along the pathway to the beach, which wasn't a particularly attractive area to stay and had the feeling it would be a wind tunnel. We decided to risk the grass, parking on mats to give us the best chance of getting moving if the weather turned bad. The site is right on the cliff top, which means it has fantastic views but also means it will catch any wind that is going. Tents and awnings need to be very securely pegged. Pitching at... more

First the disclaimer: we stayed at this site in a motorhome a few years ago, so things could have changed since...... I felt it might still be useful reviewing it as no-one else had yet! Right, now for the review..... The site is open March - September. We went before Easter when the area still hadn't really woken up for the start of the season. The site had maintenance work going on at the time, which meant reception/shop were in a portakabin sort of building, so these are no doubt much improved now (they served their purpose ok then - the lady we spoke to was friendly and helpful enough).
