Grange St. Paul's Hotel (London)
Advantages: The very best in location, food and drink, service and facilities.
Disadvantages: Pricey- but you get what you pay for!
I cannot fault a thing with this hotel, the only concern was that they gave a room quote price when we arrived which was different from the one when we booked. This was quickly sorted and we were given 20% of our food and drink during our stay due to this (which is as well because the prices in London are skyhigh!) which we made the most of.
The hotel is a one minute walk from St Pauls cathedral. Me and my boyfriend managed to walk to the Shard, The Globe, The Tower Bridge and obviosly the cathedral over a two hour walk along by the river Thames. The location is not good for those who are going to London to oarty but is perfect for those who are interested in the more touristy side. It was particularlt good for us as my bofriend is an architect and could get great photos of building which are of interest to him.
Made entirely of glass the hotel is not impressive from really far away but the closer you get the more obvious it is that this is a really swanky place.
3 restaurants, spa, gym, swimming pool, 3 bars and a nightclub...we could not think of a single thing we would have longed for.
very proffesional and smart, took care of our query in a discrete and efficient way. Staff went out of the way to provide information on the local area.
We recieved a free upgrade which gave us the superior double room, which had a kingsise bed which was ladden with pillows and cushions and the duvets and pillows wore egyptian cotton, very confortable and luxurious feeling. Very large desk which was around five meters long, hotel branded stationary in the drawers was a nice touch. The television allowed computers and storage devices to be connected which meant we could watch our own films, there was a selction of films to rent from the hotel as well as sky tv. Free Wi-Fi was an added benifit and allowed us to upload and email picures to send to family and friends while we were away. Ensuite shower room was clean and had very karge and fluffy white towels and dressing gown. Hotel branded toilettries were again a pleasant touch. Room was large and spacious with modern decor and was immaculatly clean.
Summary: I loved my stay and Iam looking to return and have been recommending to everyone!
