Newest Review: ... the foyer and reception. It seems that the interior of the rooms hasn't worn as well as downstairs though as the rooms feel a little dated and the colours seem a bit washed out. We recently had a one night stay at the Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel situated on London's swish Park Lane, over the road from Hyde Park and around the corner from Oxford Street. In terms of a central location this hotel is fantastic. It is has all of the above attractions in walking distance as well as Marble Arch tube station just a five minute walk up the road. It is ideally located for exploring the city although we were there to attend a function and so didn't have much time for exploring. Many London hotels are offering cheap rates at the moment,the Meridian chain is one of them. There are three in central London. The Waldorf, the Grosvenor House, and Meridian Picadilly. I have tried two of them. The Picadilly is very central,buzzy,and everything you would expect of a five star hotel. I felt sure that the Grosvenor with a Park Lane address would be just as good. How wrong can you be! The entrance hall, although very large, has seen better days. The decor is very brown and shabby with peeling paint everywhere.
