Menzies Waterside Hotel (Hilton Bath Waterside)
Member Name: Bobojohns
Advantages: Very near town centre, comfortable bed, nice location Disadvantages: Expensive, staff brusque, Not 4 star standard
Unfortunately, its never the quality of the surroundings, the quality of the bed or the food that makes a hotel worth staying in, although they are important. What makes a hotel stay enjoyable is the quality of the welcome and service you recieve. When the staff are verging on rude and unhelpful (and thats the "line manager", who obviously had much more importnat things to be doing...) it has a negative impact on your stay. Sadly, this was the case for us. This combined with a small room considering the price (£125.00 per night EXCLUDING breakfast or dinner)excessive noise in the corridor outside and the fact that a 3 star rating would have been more honest than 4, mean that I cannot recommend this hotel. Which is a shame as the proximity to the city centre and all its restaurants is excellent (8 minute walk) as is the waterside location..... Summary: |
