The travel writer Bill Bryson has a lovely turn of phrase, and described corporate hotels as being "like offices with beds in; comfortable, yet cold." With the Hilton brand, I expected this to be the case when I attended a wedding there recently. In case you don't know Croydon, it is a vast, ugly, concrete mess with no discernable character to it at all. I can say that because I used to live there. The Corydon Hilton is right in the middle of a large industrial area, about 2 miles from the nearest station (Waddon).
