Advantages: Good staff, clean hotel

Disadvantages: no air conditioning

I stayed in the Hilton in Blackpool in early July this year and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel facilities include; pool and gym, restaurant, bar and plenty of car parking.

Positive points - The staff were really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent for a buffet and the cleanliness of the rooms was good. It wasn't particularly expensive either and there were other inferior hotels in Blackpool charging higher prices.

Checking in and out was extremely efficient and only took a minute.

The pool and gym area is well maintained and well staffed and there is a steam room and sauna as well.

Negative points - It's situated on the North Promenade and it's a bit out of the way of some of the attractions e.g. pleasure beach. It's still quite accessible with the tram system though.

We also stayed at a time of year where we were experiencing a heatwave and the room was not fitted with air conditioning. The window only opened slightly and so it made for a couple of uncomfortable nights.

All in all, I would recommend staying at the Hilton in Blackpool because the good points far outweigh the bad.
