Newest Review: ... Tesco vouchers - regular readers of my reviews will be spotting a Tesco voucher theme here). The hotel is based in a canal basin area and is nice enough from the outside. Once inside, the lobby is attractive and very comfortable and the staff were courteous as they assigned our room. That was where the good news ended for the time being though as the room was incredibly basic, not at all what we had expected from the classy name that the Hilton has. Since I was young, the Hilton name has held a mystique that oozed class and quality. If you had told me then that, when I was older, I would be able to stay at the Hilton anywhere, you would have convinced me that I was some kind of high flying successful businessman. Not so, the Hilton is now within reach of your average (including myself) person. Aware of the DooYoo capitalization problem....but I hope you enjoy the review itself! Here we go.... Part One - Two, two, two awful! It?s Friday night. I?m sitting at my desk in my hotel room at the Hilton Sheffield writing this. I?m booked in for two nights, whilst we visit family to celebrate my mum?s 70th birthday ? though you?d never guess it if you knew her ? she?s a ?game old bird?. The hotel is apparently full.
