Advantages: Clean & tidy, gorgeous views at night, got at a good price

Disadvantages: Room mix up on arrival

I booked this Hotel after searching greatly online for somewhere to stay for the New Year.

I originally looked at Travelodges and Premier Inns thinking they would be the cheaper options, but these rooms werent easy to get to, very basic and went quickly! I was getting a bit worried that I wouldnt be able to find a place, but after looking on lastminute.com I found that they did something called secret hotels. After sussing out that the secret hotel was this one, I booked it for £85 for the night of New Year. I thought, for a 4* Hilton in London on New Year this was a brilliant price, compared to some of the Travelodges priced between £70-£100.

I was a bit worried at first about booking through lastminute.com for such a famous hotel, but I thought what could go wrong.

After turning up to the hotel, they originally told us that the room we booked, a double, wasnt avaliable that night. We had travelled quite a distance to stay here and wasnt happy to hear this. However a member of management soon came over to help. He didnt say much at all, but after hanging around for 5-10minutes he told us he had got us a double room. We werent too pleased at first with this, but as we walked to the room the hotel was just stunning. The walkways between buildings, on complete glass bridges looking out onto the docklands and thames was a perfect scene.
We were on the top floor so got the lift, which was very small, but very clean and tidy. After getting to our room, we found we had a small balcony which looked out onto the Thames and with a big wide window to look out. It was a lovely sight and part of us felt we might not of got such a good room if they didnt get it wrong in the first place.

The whole room was very clean and tidy, with several freebies in the bathroom and desk. The bed was also very comfortable that night.

There was a Hilton bus shuttle running all through the night to the nearest tube station, which meant there wasnt any extra costs for taxis to and from the hotel. We did also ask for a number if we needed a taxi and the hotel were more than happy to help us.

The hotel entrance was goreous both during the day and night. The staff seemed friendly and happy to help.

The only downfall was like mentioned, the mix up with our room which we did not expect from such a professional company.

I have happily reccommended this hotel to others, and would happily stay there again if the price was right.

Summary: A very elegent hotel with great views and service
