Advantages: Very smart rooms

Disadvantages: Expensive food and not a great choice

We stopped at the Manchester airport Hilton hotel earlier this year the night before flying to Florida, we searched on the internet for car parking for a fortnight and noticed that we could stay overnight at the Hilton for around £115 including car parking for up to fifteen days and a double room.

It seemed like good value and would make our trip more relaxing. The hotel is very easy to find with access next to the main road across from the airport. A free shuttle bus was laid on to take you and your luggage to and from your desired terminal.

We parked the car up and took our bags to reception where a porter carried our bags to our room. The car keys were left at reception and our car was taken away later that evening to a secure car park, incidentally we checked the distance travelled on our return on the cars trip computer and it was the distance stated about 12 miles if I remember correctly (we had herd stories and bad reports from other parking companies driving all over before parking your car).

Our room was lovely, very modern and very clean with everything you would expect.
The bathroom was well equipped and the water pressure was fantastic taking minutes to fill the bath. My only disappointment was that we were charged £15 pounds for internet access from the room and I have stopped in a lot of hotels where it is included so this seemed expensive.

In the evening we went down to Lowry's bar for a meal but I noticed someone order fish and chips when they arrived they were French fries we noticed that they were serving the same things in the restaurant which was literally in the same room. The menu was not very big and looked expensive, so we had a drink and walked around to Bewleys next door where the menu was a lot better and the food was lovely.

We were up and away too early to try the breakfast, our shuttle bus took us to the terminal and told us what to do on return.

On our return we rang for our bus and it arrived within ten minute although not where the driver told us but this could be down to security as they keep moving the buses on.
Our car was at the hotel waiting fro us with no problems.

I would stay again but after seeing Bewleys next door where my wife has since stayed (and said it was very good) I think I would stop there as my first choice
