Advantages: Price, breakfast, location

Disadvantages: If I was being picky, a summer duvet would be good, and a thorough vac round the edges of the room

I stayed here one night recently while visiting Manchester, unfortunately this time we weren't flying anywhere (this was quite depressing, stopping at an airport and not going anywhere!), however if you are the hotel is ideally located within the airport grounds and a shuttle bus operates to and from the airport.

We had no trouble finding the hotel at all, the directions on the website were spot on. You shouldn't have a problem finding a space in the car park as long stay park and fly guests' cars are taken off site. Check in was straightforward and no queue.

The room - this was a fairly standard hotel room, I'm used to staying in travelodge's so found the room very nice, however I wouldn't say it was anymore than a standard hotel room, if you are used to anything more - there were a few marks on the carpets/walls and a 4 gang extension lead on the floor with several wires coming off it - none of this bothered me (especially for the price we paid) but if you paid full whack and are picky about hotel rooms (I know some people are) I would say you might have been left a little disappointed.

The room however was perfectly clean, a bit of dust round the edges (as I said didn't bother me) and the bed was very comfy. The air con was good for a farily muggy night in August, we did have the window open but decided to shut it so we weren't woken in the morning by any planes! We could just see them from our room. For summer we found the duvet it bit too big, it was very comfy and can imagine it's perfect for the winter but it was very heavy and thick for the summer ! It didn't stop me sleeping though and we just put the air con on full blast and cooled the room down.

There were leaflets about the hotel and surrounding area and there was 24 hour room service and a mini bar - I find these extortionately priced and didn't use these - a word of warning - it does say on the mini bar it's automatic and as soon as you move something you will be charged - something to be careful about if you have kids! There are free tea and coffee making facilities and a couple of biscuits - yum!

The bathroom was a perfect size and the shower good and warm, the towels were nice and big and again clean. Nice set of little toiletries on the side and good lighting/mirror. There was a hairdryer in the drawer in front of the mirror in the room which was useful, although not too powerful - which is usually the case with hotel hairdryers - I have long hair!

There's was a big flat screen tv with the usual pay moves (£9 a film?!) - we didn't watch any! It had some freeview channels but we didn't really spend long watching tv so couldn't tell you which, although there was sky news I think.

We had breakfast which was included in our rate and there was plenty of variety both hot and cold all buffet style so we left feeling fairly full, one thing, noone ever asked us for our room number or stopped us when we went in, we wlaked straight in, had our food and walked straight out - how did they know we'd paid for breakfast?! If you hadn't it was £18.75 - I wouldn't say it was worth this if it wasn't included in your room rate, it was very good but I would never pay £18.75 for breakfast!!

Overall, check out was smooth and they forgot to charge us for 24 hours car parking (£10 for 24 hours residents rate), they told us there was nothing to pay ont eh room and then I asked if the could activate our parking pass to get out, which they did with no mention of paying! Fine by me!! I never volunteer to pay for anything!

We got this room on www.booking.com for £42 including breakfast for the 2 of us, even if they had charged us £10 for parking making it £52 I couldn't complain, for the price of a Travelodge we got a Hilton and full English buffet breakfast! I would jump at the chance to stay att his hotel again especially at this price and will be looking at their park and fly packages in the future - I wouldn't pay full rate to stay here - I'm not picky enough to pay a lot for a hotel room, but wouldn't certainly consider it again at these rates - I'll pay a bit more for a 'proper' hotel and breakfast included!

Summary: Excellent stay for £42 - it's worth looking around third party websites!

Great value at that price.

But no way would I ever pay £18.75 for breakfast either. X
