Newest Review: ... a lot of floor space. The view was amazing, we checked in around 10pm and got a lovely view of the lights of London from the 12th floor. I did find the pillows quite uncomfortable, one was not enough, but with two I was almost sitting upright. FIRST IMPRESSIONS The main entrance was getting renovated when I visited, but this did not ruin the first impact, as the entrance we went in was still very grand. The lobby area was very large and grand with marble flooring and ushers were waiting in the entrance to help with bags (we only had 1 suitcase each, so we wheeled our own). THE ROOM The room was lovely, two large double beds and a sofa bed. We never used the sofa bed, so cannot tell you how easy it was to fold out, but it was a comfortable sofa. In May 2009 I stayed at the Hilton Metropole, Edgeware Road, London as part of a group celebrating a hen weekend. The "hen" in question, being a bit of a control freak, did all the booking herself, but as it only cost around £100 for a night in the hotel, a ticket for Mamma Mia and train fare from the north east, I didn't really expect the hotel to be up to much. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the reception area. The hotel was spacious, clean and looked quite elegant, with lots of marble and clear cut lines to the decor.
