As a regular business traveller I clock up quite a few nights with Holiday Inn and I booked a two night stay at Chester using Priority Club points. It is easy to access the hotel from the A55 however in busy periods it can be difficult to cross the road We were quite disappointed the hotel from the outside looks run down and very 1970s. The staff were pleasant on reception booking in was no problem The room was ok when we walked in but was severely let down by the bathroom. It had been refurbished but tiles were missing around the toilet and sink. When we used the shower it would not fully turn off and we suffered a night of dripping ... Read the complete review

Coming from down south, this Holiday Inn was chosen because it was located in an excellent spot for the passsing visitor. It is conveniently just two miles from the city centre, and is just opposite the Wrexham Road "Park an Ride" which can get you too (and from) the centre for £1.70, at time of writing. Which I think is excellent value. Aside from the location this Hotel has great features and services, if you can forgive its ugly outward appearance. It boasts a great sauna and fitness centre (if that's your thing) a bar (that's more like it) and a great resturaunt.
