Advantages: clean, centrally located, reasonable rates
Disadvantages: none
We've been to the Hiexpress Central several times and we won't go to another hotel when being in Glasgow (only when it would be fully-booked and then we would try the Hiexpress Theaterland.
The hotel is extremely clean, has very friendly staff. There are double-rooms with a sofa bed (for another adult or two children) or twin-bed rooms. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower and WC. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room, telephone and TV is standard. There is no restaurant, only a bar but no problem there is a microwave and dishes in the lobby so you can always make your meal and eat on your room. There is only home-delivery information available at the reception so you can order meals to be delivered to the hotel. Both hotels are situated very centrally: Buchanan bus station is opposite Hiexpress Theatreland, Central railway station is some ten walking minutes from Hiexpress Central, both of the are in walking distance of the shops and pedetrian zone.
Breakfast is complimentary and up to two children are free of charge.
Rates are from GBP 45,-- to 59,-- and depend on the vacancy status.
