Newest Review: ... with their mates about what they had got upto on Saturday night, than trying to serve anyone. Everything was simply too much trouble for the staff. The cutlery at breakfast was dirty. The staff did not seem to care. There was mould growing on the wall in the room all around the window. There was mould starting to grow around the edge of the bathroom. I did not feel safe parking my car in their car park either. It lets down the Holiday Inn chain. I would never stay in this hotel again. I complained to holiday inn's head office. They agreed with my observations and gave me a partial refund of the room price. ... more

Stayed in many hoilday express hotels before on work trips, this time wanted to try out a Hoilday inn, big mistake!!!!!!Staff not warm or welcoming atall i felt like i was a pain even when asking for a cup for the ice machine! not one smile the whole time we stayed! didnt even know where the cinemas were????????? just not friendly! bathrooms OLD!!!! breakfast sooooooooooooooooo standard, maybe its cut backs but mini danish come on! but this hotel is in a lovely area. hey ho!

Apart from reception, the hotel staff were rude. The hotel appeared to employ students to try and run the restaurant at breakfast. They were more interested in chatting with their mates about what they had got upto on Saturday night, than trying to serve anyone. Everything was simply too much trouble for the staff. The Holiday Inn has just been promoted to full Holiday Inn status, from the slightly lower grade of Garden Court. It is easy to find in the Beeston/Clifton are of Nottingham. It is close enough to the city centre without all the traffic, noise and parking nightmares that go with very central hotels. Rooms run at around £90 per night, which certainly isn't cheap. The Travel Inn next door is about half the price, so what do Bass give you at the Holiday Inn for your money? Rooms are spacious and usually contain at least one double bed, a sofa bed, bath and shower, and a desk and coffee table. You can make tea coffee and hot chocolate in your room ...
