We spent a night at The Hotel Du Vin Cambridge last weekend as part of their special Sunday deal (Spend £75 in the bistro on a Sunday and spend the night for a tenner), When we booked there were no £10 rooms left for the Sunday we wanted, so we were offered a studio suite for £20 which we took. I'd heard people rave about boutique hotels before (and in particular the Du Vin hotels) but hadn't taken too much notice as I thought they were small and overpriced, preferring my luxury hotel stay to be in a larger hotel such as a Crowne Plaza or Hilton.
