Great location in London right next to the Olympia tube station on the district line and the Olympia Exhibition Hall. The hotel is also only a short walk away from High Street Kensington Tube station on both the Circle and District lines.
This is one of the many Hilton hotels available in the capital, it is a well used hotel with plenty of tour parties and airline staff stopping here.
The hotel is a bit tired looking but given the constant and heavy use I can understand why. The rooms can vary dramatically and it would be best to request one of the newer rooms as the non refurbished ones are very tired looking. I recently stayed there for a weekend visit to London, my room was very tired looking and the corridors were quite shabby. The bathroom was reasonably small with the Hilton standard of Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries available. The shower is in the bath, which is fairly standard and fine but be warned if you are tall then you will be hitting your head off the ceiling, I am only 5ft 5" and the ceiling wasn't too far away, also if you are not particularly mobile you may find it tough to climb in and out of the bath to the shower.
Be warned around Christmas time they have some party nights which are supposed to go on to 1am and if you are in the rooms above the function suite you can hear the dj and all the music, and if you may be unlucky like us to have one of the party goers set the fire alarm off at 2.40am for a laugh - I definitely wasn't laughing standing in the rain at that time of the morning in my pjs!
The reception while reasonably efficient is not the friendliest or most helpful and not quite what I expect from a Hilton.
The hotel has a variety of facilities including a restaurant the Plum Grill which is where breakfast is served, if breakfast is not included in your room rate I would recommend walking along High Street Kensington as there are plenty of cafes and coffee shops where breakfast is far cheaper and nicer. There is also the Plum Bar & Lounge for drinks and a Costa Coffee Shop which is attached onto the hotel (very handy). You also have the choice of room service as well. There is also a small gym with treadmills and exercise and weight machines.
The price varies and they often have special offers on but it is roughly around the £70 upwards mark per room per night dependant on season and the offers available.
The best thing about this hotel is the location although I have to admit I would prefer to stay in its sister hotel the Hilton Kensington which is only marginally more expensive but a lot better and is only a 10 minute walk away from the Hilton Olympia. The Hilton Kensington is located next to the Westfield Shopping Centre and the Shepherds Bush Tube Station on the Central Line.
