All prices quoted are correct for 2004 high season. St. Brelade’s Bay in Jersey is renowned as one of the best beaches on the island and so we were keen to stay in this area when booking this years holiday. The Hotel Miramar caught my eye in the brochure for 2 main reasons; it was classed as a family friendly hotel and was competitively priced for the location. Whereas the UK hotel rating system is in stars, Jersey’s is in suns and this was classed as a 2 sun hotel – so we were expecting basic and comfortable rather than luxurious. ~ ~ ~ Location ~ ~ ~ We originally struggled to find the hotel as it is situated on a road that ... When we eventually found the Miramar hotel ,up a very steep and narrow lane we were quite impressed. We arrived at reception and a very nice friendly staff member greeted us ,after filling in a small questionaire...name address etc,we were shown to our room.It was below ground level but was surprisingly well lit and airy,it consisted of two bedrooms one with double bed and en-suite bathroom (full suite)and a further bedroom with bunk beds, lots of wardrobe and drawer space. We overlooked the pool and small jacuzzi which looked very nice ,although due to cold wet weather we never used them. We stayed at this hotel last week (29th May). I booked it on the internet and always received quick and polite responses to my Emails. My husband, myself and our 4 year old daughter were made extremely welcome. The rooms are clean and my daughter was very excited to have her own adjoining room with her own TV and bunk beds. The bus stop is a couple of minutes away and buses really are easy to catch. Don't waste a taxi fare to the hotel just catch the bus, the number 15 to St Helier, all the bus drivers knew the hotel. The pool is lovely despite the weather being a little fresh at times the pool was always a good temperature. The decor as I think others ... Read the complete review

We stayed at the Miramar in July 06 through 3X TRAVEL both them and they hotel were extremely helpful. We had tried to stay at the Miramar last year but they were fully booked, so we were lucky to get in this year. The hotel offers a good standard of cuisine and the garden with its terraces and swimming pool were great. I'd recommend this hotel and our tour operator to anyone. All in all a great first holiday in Jersey. Hope to go back again if work ... Read the complete review
