The bond hotel Blackpool

After searching high and low for a hotel with good facilities for people with disabilities we finally found the bond hotel!

the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the pleasure beach and its quiet a flat walk from the hotel, in general blackpool its self is flat, great for wheelchairs!

When we arrived at the hotel we were shown where to park within the hotel grounds. We ended up not moving the car for 5 days as everything is within walking/tram distance.

The hotel also has a minibus (wheelchair accessable) which you can use for a small charge for activities further out of the town like the zoo. Im sure you can also arrange for pick up from the train stataion ect.

The hotel its self is a little dated but very clean.

All our rooms had walk in showers with poratble shower chairs. The hotel hires out equipment like hoists, bedrails, wheelchairs and even electric scooters for a very reasonable charge, Im sure we pre booked these when we booked. Each floor also has lift access.

the food in the hotel was lovely and the dining room was a good size .

The staff were very helpful and very knowledable about differant needs.

The evening entertainment was very good, singers, drag acts ect and we were all made to feel very welcome and dancing encouraged much to the delight of my service users!

There is a laundrette just around the corner for those little accidents too.
