 ... to say that the exterior looked rather shabby. The paintwork was somewhat dingy, and the whole place looked as though it could do with an entire facelift! There was only street parking available, although, as we went in April, this didn’t present too much of a problem. I would imagine though, that during the summer months, parking could be a nightmare. Last year, we decided to go away for a long weekend. Having recently discovered the Smoothhound site, we browsed the options, and decided on Eastbourne. At the time, we did not want to go too far from home in case we needed to get back quickly (family illness), and this suited us perfectly, being just over an hour away. The fact that it was close to the sea was also an important factor, as “We do like to be beside the seaside!” I emailed several hotels listed in the Smoothhound pages, and from the replies received, chose the Princes.
