Introduction Although my hotel costs are paid by my company when I travel, as I frequently have to, I do unfortunately have to stick to a certain budget and so for the sake of price and convenience, I found myself staying at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle. The location is certainly fantastic, ideal for the train station and the Metro station and also for the centre of town shops and restaurants. However, I would think twice about staying there next time - the price and location may be good, but the staff and the noise from the train station put me off. Booking Booking was easily completed by emailing info@royalstationhotel.com. The phone number ... Read the complete review

The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle is situated in an excellent position overlooking the River Tyne. It enjoys a quiet spot whilst only being a five minute walk to the city centre. Bedrooms are modern, roomy, tastefully furnished and all have views over the river. Some rooms have small balconies. They have all the usual toiletries and tea making facilities. A trouser press and hair dryer are also supplied. An iron and ironing board can be requested. Harry's Bar is an informal restaurant providing a wide choice of food and on a recent visit a two course evening meal only set us back £8.00 per person if you dined before 8pm on their special "8 ... The newcastle area is a popular place to spend a weekend or a short break away from home. That is the reason why the city is full of hostels. If you arrive by train, the first thing that you will see after leaving the station is a huge hotel across the road, and along the same road, is a huge old fashoned hotel, where you can book your stay by the night, instead of a weekly package. I find that the hotels in Newcastle are using up to great standard, and there are always room in the city, without a doubt. There are plenty of website that you can look on to find out which are the better hotels in this city. Over the water on the other side on the river, there ... Read the complete review
