I have frequented The Red Lion Hotel for a few years now and will return for years to come. The hotel itself a 400 year old coaching inn has a individual quaintness that I have not found in any other hotel.
The restaurant was refurbished a few years ago and serves good old english food, after you can relax in the bar where you can be guaranteed a good real ale.
Tuesdays and Saturdays are market days in Salisbury and the Lion is a perfect place for a quiet drink away from all the pushing and shoving in the city centre.
The hotel has many rooms all decorated differently and all a very reasonable size. For a 3 star hotel I always get 5 star service so take my freinds there. I would recommend a visit.
