Abbots Mews: Terrible Hotel (Hotels in York in general)

I stayed at the Abbots Mews Hotel in York a few years ago and I have to say I would have ranked it with Fawlty Towers.

The Moment I arrived there I thought the staff were rude. They also made you leave your bags in an exposed position which was not at all secure.

I would also like to say that the decor in the rooms was terrible, with an old fashined and also frilly feel to it.

The standard of food at Breakfast was also awful, sausages were very schrivilled. The only english the staff at Breakfast knew was "What do you want for Breakfast", I have not known that poor standard of English in a forign hotel let alone an English one.

Also Anyone under 50 will feel quite out of place here as the clientelle is quite old. Those who are old might feel at home here though.
