I have used and stayed at Ibis Hotels for many years.

I stayed at Ibis in France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Morocco.

More or less Ibis Hotels are all the same in standard and the price varies primarily based on location. Ibis is part of the Accor chain of hHotels, the most prestigiuous Hotel in this chain is the Sofitl, the cheapest is Formula 1. Ibis are closer to Formula 1 than Sofitel in terms of standards.

Ibis hotels normally cost in the region of 70 euros per room per night. Breakfast is buffet and it goes for 6-8 additional euros.

The rooms are minimal but efficient, a double bed most of the time, of decent quality, although I found more than once that they could have replaced it with a newer one, a simple bathroom most of the time with shower and a wardrobe and a small desk.

Some Ibis are booked most of the time, for example the ones in the centre of Paris. Some others are too old, for example the one in Annemasse, France.

Staff are friendly, I never had any issue, and speak more than one language most of the time. I never had an issue with English.

I normally book the Ibis on line or calling directly the Hotel.

They also offer a reward scheme, but you have to pay for it, and it only makes sense if you stay more than 10 nights per year at Ibis.

I believe that these days most Ibis are smoke free, but some of them still were few years ago, for example the one in Morocco.

In conclusion, Ibis is a chain of hotel I recommend.
