I've visited this hotel since it has been refurbished & have to say, it's great! Lovely staff, very friendly. We had some trouble with the LCD TV, signal wasnt all that great. I was expecting them to say it's simply something we'd have to put up with as I couldnt see anyone fixing it, but low & behold, they told me someone would be up to the room in a few minutes to help. They sorted it out & were lovely & helpful at the same time. The room itself (a double room) was absolutely fantastic for the price. The view was amazing and the bed was just right. The Jarvis Piccadilly has just undergone a huge renovation with all rooms being refitted (and making it slightly less ugly from the outside at the same time!). I stayed here in July and the renovation was nearly complete although so work was still going on. I booked a double room for £64 which was cheaper than the ibis down the road so although it used to look horrible I thought I'd give it a go. I hadn't stayed in the hotel prior to the renovation so can't compare but the rooms weren't as good as you'd expect considering they were meant to be 'new'.
