I've stayed in this hotel quite a few times, and not once have I had a bad experience.

The hotel is always clean and tidy, the rooms always spotless. The main lobby area is always clear of clutter, and there has always been someone on the front desk ready to help.

Check-in and out has always been speedy and whenever I have had to wait for even a couple of minutes the staff have been apologetic.

I have had drinks in the small bar just off the lobby, and they have been enjoyable, although slightly overpriced. If you wander into town (only a 10 min walk away if that) then you will find much better value places.

I have also eaten in the restaurant, which was very tasty. There is a patio area at the front of the hotel where guests can sit. However, it is on the main road, so don't expect quiet and tranquil!

The views from the hotel are not amazing, just of the local town centre. But given that the hotel is a 5 min walk from East Croydon station, with regular trains getting you into London and out to the coast very quickly, it's in a great location!

This hotel is perfect for those wanting to get into Londone asily, but as a weekend break to Croydon - I think the town is probably not the best place for a getaway!
