This is quite an odd hotel - its next to the airport and a retail park so quite convenient but is no where near the centre of liverpool and would cost about Ģ15 in a txi to get there. THe leisure facilities are very good - free use of the david lloyd leisure centre next door which has tennis courts, squash courts, gym and a bit swimming pool. The food - one word really edible but not a nice and very fatty/greasy but better than damons which is the restaurant outside incredibly greasy! The Mariott South Hotel is sort of an airport hotel at Liverpool John Lennon. I say sort of because itīs nearby (5 minutes drive) but not attached to the airport per se, nor walkable with luggage of a weight that Ryanair will subsequently tell you off for. I stayed there because I had a flight to come over here to Spain at stupid o clock, and the choice was either get an even stupider o clock bus from Manchester the next morning, or stay the night. The hotel offers free airport pick ups and drop offs, and I took advantage of this service. I got off the Manchester bus and gave them a call, and they were with me very quickly.
