The London Bridge Hotel does not lie - it is literally a 2 minute walk from London Bridge station. As such, it was perfect for us staying just one night in London - central location, very convenient for getting us home on the train next day without having to trawl across London! Being so close to the station I was worried about noise - but I needn't have. Our room was totally insulated from the noise outside, making for a very peaceful night's sleep. It is very rare for us to stay in London. Really the only reason for us to do so is because of an event we are attending where driving home afterwards is definitely not a good idea. The usual reason is the company's Christmas Dinner and Dance and so it was this year. In the past the event has always been held around the Hyde Park area. It has been at the Royal Lancaster and the Grosvenor on Park Lane but even with “event” discounts I've always felt them to be too expensive to stay in either hotel.
