Recently, my wife surprised me with a short trip to London, requiring us to stay in a hotel for 1 night. For some reason, she chose to stay at the Hilton on Park Lane. The Hilton is located on the lower end of Park Lane and overlooks not only Hyde Park on one side, but Green Park and Buckingham Palace on another side. It is situated very close to 2 tube stations, both approximately a 5 minute gentle stroll away. I don't know how much my wife paid for the room, but I know it was considerably cheaper than booking it through the hotel itself.
