My aunt has a caravan in Edmundbyers in County Durham, and while staying there we went out for a drive and found this pub/restaurant/hotel. The hotel itself is in a place called Blanchland. The building housing The Lord Crewe Arms is actually a listed building. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was busy, but everyone was minding their own business. We had a couple of drinks, then we asked the barman if we could order some food, and he directed us to a separate room, which was really cosy and we were particularly impressed with the coal fire, which made for a very cosy and homely feel.
