Newest Review: ... pale blue bedspread and mound of pillows on the bed, the matching over-long curtains and the old and slightly shabby blue carpet (I hate blue carpets). We use the Mill house since the new owners took over earlier this year (2010) and found the service excellent. The food is first class (as is the choice) and has a nice wine list (very important)..The hotel & restaurant has vastly improved since the new owners took over & have improved the parking and access to the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet, good quality hotel (or restaurant) I cannot recommend the Mill house enough.5 stars!

the Mill House Hotel at Ashington closed in 2009 and has now been purchased by a local family and is currently undergoing major refurbishment. The new restaurant "The Yokebourne" is already open and offering superb meals and lovely relaxed atmosphere alongside the lounge bar area. Both of which are open to the public lunch times and evenings. Food is fantastic! The hotel rooms will reopen soon so watch out for more reviews.

If you don't know it's there, you'll struggle to find it as it's located down a pot-holed track off a poorly sign-posted side-road to ... Read the complete review
