During check in I was told the rate per room was twice as high as the price I had been given while online booking. Instead of paying 32pppn I was asked to pay 64pppn! This price supposidly included a breakfast which I had not opted for during online booking.

Update: I discovered that new street station is 5 minutes away if a shortcut was taken ( rahther than 1/2 h) which therefore puts it a lot closer to the bullring. For two days, great! We stopped at this hotel for 1 night while attending a friend's wedding reception in the city centre. We found the location really good, 15 min walk to the shops (Bullring/city centre - The Mailbox was slightly nearer) and 2 mins walk to broad street bars. Nice walk along the canal to the NIA. I stayed in this hotel in Birmingham a few months ago and thought it was far superior to the pod style EasyJet hotel that I stayed in a year ago.
