Norfolk Royale Hotel (Bournemouth)
Advantages: Cheaper than average, beautiful rooms, excellent food
Disadvantages: Spa is a little small
The norfolk royale hotel is beautiful and as a resident whom spent her hen do there I can highly recommend it.
I had wanted to go to this hotel from a young age when it was first built in bournemouth and at the age of 27 I finally got to go and had arranged a night there for my hen do with a combined day at their spa and a meal also. Note though that they usually dont take hen or stag dos but I had a collection of 5 girls therefore they accepted us.
The staff were fantastic and on the day I had arranged for one of the managers to help me with the room for the rest of the girls I was staying with and she was brilliant. She laid out all the petals and the gift bags and had arranged for cocktails to be sent up to our room when we first arrived also, she listened to every detail that I wanted and worked it brilliantly.
We arrived in the afternoon to have time in the spa before our meal in the evening and although the spa is quite nice I certainly wouldnt go for a spa experience its simply a nice area to go and relax with a small pool, a jacuzzi, a steam room and sauna and showers. Its small but enjoyable and we enjoyed it for the couple of hours we were there. The rooms are lovely, some are a little old fashioned but beautiful with excellent cleanliness and lovely bathrooms with gorgeous bath products.
Some floors have already been re decorated into much more modern suites and this is what we wanted to have for our stay but these had all been taken and are very popular now.
The staff are incredibly tentative and will respond quickly to any matter you need help with, and as for the food this was exquisite.
We had a five course dinner with a private dining room and once again the staff had laid out the tables and decorations exactly how I wanted them to and the food was standard to a five star restaurant and couldnt be faulted at all, as well as cupulous amounts of wine and an excellent waiter who served us all night.
We had hot chocolates served in our room at the end of the night and once again in the morning the breakfast which was either a hot cooked english brekfast or a continental with croissants and hams and cheeses was beautiful and was buffet style so you could have as much or as little as desired.
Rooms start at approx £90 upwards and all in all this is an excellent rate for the quality of the hotel. Highly recommended and with the surroundings of the city of bournemouth on your doorstep literally you cant go wrong with this hotel.
Summary: Beautiful city hotel and perfected with excellent food
