Although beginning to show its age it remains well maintained and modern. At £70 for 2 adults and 2 kids including an excellent buffet breakfast it was good value. Staff are efficient and attentive. I like Novotel. Uncompromisingly modern and unpretentious. If you look out for their regular special offers they can be surprisingly good value. We used the novotel in Heathrow for the second year in a row (our third stay) as a stopping off point in a driving holiday in Europe. I don't find it offers value when we travel out of the airport because of the lack of parking packages and its position outside the free bus system that runs into Heathrow. This is a very clean and very well managed hotel. We had made our reservation through the Plymouth Tourist Information Office only 30 minutes before arriving at the hotel, but all of our reservation details and room were ready for our arrival. The rooms are not enormous but are very clean and comfortable with television, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom. The hotel has its own swimming pool, which looked very inviting, but it is outdoors. The food selection for breakfast was vast, with the hot breakfast food freshly cooked and very tasteful. An item that kept the children (of all ages) amused was the toast making machine. This was a self-service ...
