Whitby is a small fishing town in the north east of England that has plenty to offer the visitor. If you want to explore this place properly then the chances are you will need to stay overnight and Whitby has numerous different B&B's and Guest Houses to choose from. The Number Five is an example of one such Bed & Breakfast establishment and this is a place where I have stayed several times. It is located in the new part of the town on the opposite side of the water from the Abbey.
