Offley Grove Farm (Adbaston)
Today I went and visited Offley Grove farm as a potential place to have my wedding and I have to say it was absolutely splendid. I found out about it on the internet and the website gives you a big idea on what it looks like but no idea on what it actually has to offer. This review will tell you all it has to offer ion terms of being a bed and breakfast and also a wedding venue.
The address is as follows;
Offley Grove Farm
To get there if I’m being honest is only easy if you have directions printed off so make sure you do. It is located in a lovely location surrounded by big houses and many farms and is basically a very green area. It is very quiet and you do get the feeling you are out in the middle of nowhere although you are only half an hour away from the bustling town centre of Stafford which is great. You can get to it just off junction 14 of the M6 and it is easily found from there.
Driving up to the farm is amazing as you can really take into account the stunning scenery. As we drove to the car park which is signposted, you can see so many cows and ducks in the fields who all look at you which I love. There was even a friendly horse who came up for a fuss.
The reception area is very sweet and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They even let us fuss their new puppy for a little while and you can really tell they are excited about weddings here.
Where you actually get married is a very sweet little room which has its own toilet and kitchen area. It looks like a small barn with amazing beams and it has a very cosy feel about it which is nice. Then you have a marquee in the gardens and the gardens are huge with plenty of space for over 100 people to come to your wedding.
The gardens and the setting of all the farmers fields is also gorgeous for you to have your all important wedding photos done which is nice.
The guest cottages are beautiful and I have to say full of character, every single one. They have four and two sleep four and the other two sleep six or eight. There are facilities also for young babies to stay there. Each cottage has a living room area, a kitchen, several showers and bathrooms and then of course the bedrooms.
Each of the cottages is different in their layout and in their size but they are all stunning. We walked in each one and just went wow as they are full of character and I cannot stress that to you enough. There are beams all over the place and views over at the fields where you can see the animals and each cottage just feels like you are in a magical place.
The best thing though for me is that each cottage is very warm and we chose to visit on quite a cold day so rest assured that they are all nice and cosy. I could have actually lived there and I told that to my fiancé as they have all the facilities you would ever need and you are in a nice quiet area with brilliant views and to be honest they are just perfect.
For a wedding the cottages are great because the lady was saying that you rent them from the Friday to the Monday so you really do have exclusive use of the whole farm for your wedding which is just fantastic. When you are in them you can see from each a small courtyard with benches so on a sunny day you could go and sit there and just waste the day admiring the beauty which is what I would do.
The prices for a wedding are very reasonable in my opinion for what you get but as every wedding is very different I am not going to quote them here. The prices for accommodation are good though at around £26 per person and you can rent the cottages for a week for about £200 so not that bad at all.
In conclusion I am saying that this is a perfect venue whether you want a quick stay in the country or if you want a truly spectacular wedding. This has made my short list of wedding venues as it is just perfect.
Thanks for reading.
Summary: Just Stunning.
