Hotel Best Western Moores (Guernsey):
... recently started a new job and on my second day I was to be whisked off to meetings in exciting overseas destinations. Well Guernsey anyway. An overnight stay was involved but I did not get a say in the hotel as it was booked before I joined the company. I was told that the hotel they usually use, the really nice one that my colleague was booked into, had no room for me and even the second hotel they sometimes u... Beachcombers Hotel (Jersey) ... year at a time when things were particularly stressful my mum emailed me to say that a friend with was getting married and that them, me and hubby, and a couple and their son (him, the groom and myself grew up together) were going to be invited - and that the wedding was going to be in Jersey as that is where the bride s family are from. It was great to have something to look forward to and some good news, so once we had the dates we searched the Internet for places to stay. The Beachcombers was one which stuck out as it was reasonably priced. I went onto Expedia on 11th December 2007 and booked our holiday during an advert break. Our family friends booked their ... The Tontine Hotel (Greenock) ... family is split between Northern Ireland and Scotland. So some family gatherings take a bit more effort to get to than others. Last weekend some of the Northern Irish side of the family made the journey over to Scotland for Grannie Douglas 80th Birthday party in Greenock. The location for the party (well I m saying party but it was actually just a big dinner) and also the place where we stayed for one night, was the Tontine Hotel in Greenock. A quick bit of information for those of you who aren t familiar with Greenock; it s a reasonably large town that lies on the banks of the River Clyde on the West coast of Scotland. It s about 20 miles west of Glasgow and used ... Read the full review: Breaking the hotel chain by davydoug |

Golf Links Hotel ... visited this hotel earlier in the year, whilst looking at houses with a view to moving to the island. It was my first visit, but I felt that the hotel captured the essence of the Island perfectly. The hotel is situated in Castletown, just a 5 minute drive from Ronaldsway airport, and 15 minutes from Douglas. It has easy access and is very sttractive from the outside. The hotel seems isoated, but this only adds to the tranquility, and it has everything you need for a very relaxing stay. Although famous for it's challenging 18-hole golf course, the hotel is also very popular with tourists from all over the world. During our stay we found all the staff to be ...
