      Very helpful

      Good hotel

The Old Trafford Lodge is situated at the Lancashire Cricket Ground in Manchester, not far from Old Trafford (walkable) and the Trafford Centre. It has parking but might not be great for the train station. It's literally right on on the ground, some of the rooms have balconies which open onto the stand. Great if you are there watching the cricket.

I only stopped here a night, for work purposes, and stayed in an executive room , which cost £95, including breakfast. This was in the week.

The room has two single beds, tea and coffee facilties, an iron, wardrobe, Tv with freeview and a shower. The room was clean and quite nice. The bed was pretty comfy and the TV worked so no complaints there.

The bar was averagely priced and had an OK stock of drinks, they didn't have rose wine by the glass, which was a bit annoying. There's no restaurant but a wetherspoons is near and there are loads of takeout menus, we had a great pizza from one of these, delivered quickly and ate it in the bar. It was raining (naturally, it's Manchester!) so this suited us quite well but it might get annoying if you were there for a while - but then Manchester is on your doorstep! The staff were polite and friendly and quite helpful.

Breakfast was pretty good, decent selection, nice danish pastries, fruit, cereal etc. I also partake heartily in hotel brekkies and this was one was some of the better ones I've seen.

I think this is a pretty good hotel, good location, nice to be able to open the room to the grounds and decent brekkie. It's not first-class or funky. Bit strange that it doesn't have a restaurant but I can't imagine that this is too incovenient, defintely OK for one or two nights. Most hotel restaurants are overpriced anyway!
