 ... were over our 'credit limit'. They would however be more than happy to send someone up to the room to collect a credit card or cash. I told them this was not an option as my boyfriend had yet to visit the cash point (for those who may not be aware you can only withdraw £300 cash from an ATM per day) but not to worry as we would be down by 12 noon (our checkout time) to settle the bill. I was, however, a little irritated by the call and got my boyfriend to get up there and then and get the money from the ATM...more

I stayed at the hotel for Valentine's weekend and took my boyfriend for a treat. We had a lovely deluxe room and a fantastic meal in Indigo where the service was faultless. It all went horribly wrong the morning after though. We were paying by cash and paid for the room in full in advance plus £100 for extras on arrival. Anyway, we celebrated during the evening with Champagne and ran up a fair bill so we were rudely awakened by a call from concierge at 09.30 saying we couldn't have our breakfast in the room as we requested as we were over our 'credit limit'.
