Just returned from a 3 night break in Stirling, where we stayed at the Highland Hotel which is part of the Paramount group of Hotels. First time staying with the chain and I have to say both my wife and I were thoroughly impressed. The rooms were more than adequate and maintained to a high standard. The food was excellent (especially the breakfast) and if you stay on a DBB basis very good value. The leisure facilities were good, although a little small. The main commendation though goes to the staff - they were friendly, informative and courteous and really made us feel like valued customers. We are due to stay at their Hotel in Cheltenham and the end of the month ...
