Premier Inn (Albert Dock, Liverpool) Hotel National

Newest Review: ... had to pay £29 but you would have to pay this if you cancelled. If you book the normal tariff, you can cancel your accommodation on the day you are due to arrive if you have to and don't have to pay anything. The Liverpool Albert Dock Premier Inn is the best one I have stayed in. The hotel is literally two minutes walking distance from the Liverpool Echo Arena. We also went into town to do some Christmas shopping which was only a ten minute walk away. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants around the docks and I would recommend it if you fancied a night out in Liverpool and a cheap night's accommodation. You get great value fo... more

I have stayed in three different Premier Inns over the last two years. In December 2010 I booked to stay in the Premier Inn on the Liverpool Albert Docks when I took my husband to see John Bishop at the Liverpool Echo Arena for his Christmas present. There was a special offer if you booked so many weeks in advance you only had to pay £29 but you would have to pay this if you cancelled. If you book the normal tariff, you can cancel your accommodation on the day you are due to arrive if you have to and don't have to pay anything. We booked into this hotel in order for me to attend a university interview, and we weren't expecting much of it if we're honest. On arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and sent us on our way to our rooms. The rooms were spacious and had everything you could need, with nice flatscreen TVs with freeview. Our only complaint is that one of the rooms was quite cold, and we couldnt swap the air con off and onto heating, and after assuring us somebody would come from reception after an hour they never did, so we gave up and swapped as my dad doesn't mind cooler rooms. We headed down to the bar for dinner, and again I was expecting ...  Read the complete review

I really enjoyed my stay at the Premier Inn on the Albert Docks. I went earlier this year, and the stay could not have been better. It was supremely good value and I felt I was staying in somewhere really in the heart of historical Liverpool. I became totally fascinated with the history of the Albert Docks after this visit, as the rooms themselves are built into the old dockyard warehouses. Even the pulley's remain, outside your window, which would have hauled sacks and packages up to the upper level of the warehouses. Cleanliness was high. It's not a five star hotel, and no-one expects that level of luxury. But this seemed to me to be honest value for money, ...  Read the complete review

Reliable Accomodation in a Great Location (948 words)

I recently stayed at the Liverpool Albert Dock Premier Travel Inn as I was attending a conference at the nearby ACC (Liverpool Conference Centre). My review is based on a 2 night stay (which consisted of a Thursday and Friday night). As my job requires many over night stays during the course of a year, I do tend to favour a Premier Travel Inn. Yes - they can be boring and bland and they are all the same - but I do like the fact that you know what to expect in terms of standards, cleanliness and price. I also like their policy towards women who are staying in a hotel alone - they tend to either put you in a room very near to the 24 hour manned reception, or ...  Read the complete review
