The summer holidays are now in progress here in Scotland and one trip I had planned was a visit to East Kilbride and then M&D's the following day with my daughter and her friend. At first I considered staying with my sister but her flat is small and I know from when my daughter has her friend over for a sleepover, the pair of them make an appalling mess - and I thought it was unfair to lumber my sister with a major clearup operation after one night.
