Advantages: Great Value, All the Essentials
Disadvantages: Not as Luxurious as other hotels, Table to Tables long wait
I have stayed in a few Premier Inn hotels in the UK, and they all give a good service, however you do get what you pay for and some hotels are better than others in the Premier Inn name.
The Basics:
A room costs around £55-£65 depending on where you are staying and when, the weekends are normally cheaper than the week days which I think is quite good as I normally would only stay at the weekend as I work all week.
A room consists of a double bed or two single beds, depending on which type of room you book, there are also seats and a table area in most rooms, a bathroom with a bath and shower, sink and toilet, the bathroom area is really clean and presentable as well as the bedroom. There is also a tv with digital television, a kettle for tea milk and coffee if you like, a hairdryer and also a good wardrope space if you plan to stay for a while. The staff are all friendly and helpful, again this is more true in some Premier Inn hotels than others, though I havent had any very bad experiances so everything is ok. The rooms are very basic though they still have everything you need so I wont complain.
Table To Table:
This is a restaurant that is normally attached to the side of the Premier Inn hotel, I have had different experiances with this restaurant, some better than others, though the food is well priced at 2 meals for £10 off a special menu between 12pm and 6.30pm and after this a meal works out between around £6 to £15 per person without desert or starters, it really depends on how much you want to eat. One thing that does annoy me though about this restaurant is that it takes a very long time for the food to be served sometimes, last time I visited the Premier Inn in Dumfries and visited this restaurant it took 1hr and 30mins for my meal to come out, which is way too long to wait in my opinion, though the food was good when it eventually came out for me.
Overall:
I think that this is a great value hotel that is very basic but still clean and has everything you need. I recommend it for a nice weekend away as a treat as it is very affordable. Though if you visit Table To Table, be prepared for a long wait for your food.
Summary: Great Value
